What is Aadhaar Number & How does it help here?

Issued by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), it is a 12 digit unique identification number that stores demographic and biometric information of the Indian resident with their photograph. Aadhaar can be used as a proof of identity and address, anywhere in India.
UIDAI facilitated an electronic way of conducting a real time KYC of Aadhaar holders using authenticated information as available in Aadhaar Card. The Customer has to provide his/her Aadhaar number and biometrics/OTP and their consent. It enables us to get electronic copy of customer identity i.e. Photograph, signatures and address details, as present in UIDAI database.

Can I open a paperless account?

All Resident Individuals can open paperless account who have a:
a) A valid Aadhaar ID
b) Active Aadhaar linked mobile number or email id for one time password verification
c) Latest Address details updated in Aadhaar
d) Access to Net banking
e) Webcam enabled laptop/desktop

Can I change any of the details provided by Aadhaar?

The Aadhaar based account opening will be conducted by using your Aadhaar KYC details only. Subsequently, You may visit the closest branch and fill a simple form the change any of these details.

Do I need to submit any physical documents after paperless account opening?

You need not submit any physical form post account opening. However during the process you may require to upload the digital copies of following documents:
a) PAN Card
b) Your latest photograph
c) Aadhaar Card
d) Bank Proof
e) Signature

What is eSign?

eSign refers to the electronic signatures or digital signatures. An account opening form has to be authenticated and can be processed only after it has been eSigned by the client. In context of paperless Account opening, we fetch digital signatures of the client which is updated in Aadhaar and affix it electronically to authenticate the paperless Account opening form. The e-sign is triggered at the time of filling the Online Account Opening form and is validated after One Time Password verification by the client.

What is In-Person Verification (IPV)?

IPV refers to the confirmation of physical existence of the person opening account with us which is mandatory as prescribed by SEBI. Since here, there is no personal interaction in paperless account opening, IPV is conducted through a real time video recording through a web camera.

Why do I have to wire transfer funds now? Can I do it later?

Funds transfer is a procedure to confirm the bank account credentials during account opening. upon activation of your account, the amount will be credited to your trading account and you can utilize the same for trading.

Can I register my Nominee?

Definitely yes. All you need to do is just fill the nominee details during the process. The nominee will be applicable for trading account only. If your want to nominate for your DP account, you need to fill a simple form and submit to us along with a copy of PAN card of your nominee.

Can I select to map my existing DEMAT account with Ashika Stock Broking Ltd.?

To open an account through the paperless account opening facility, you are required to have a DEMAT account with Ashika Stock Broking Ltd.. If you select to open your account offline, you can choose to map your existing DEMAT account with us.

Can I have joint holders for the DEMAT account?

Definitely. You can open a DEMAT account with maximum of two joint holders. To add a joint-holder, you submit us the KYC form along with the required documents after your account has been opened.
